So is this confirm? It is sad that there is not even a news piece on this. I think she deserve more recognition from media. _________________ Filiou, Phazava, Nichol, Rodriguez - smaller federation, bigger performance!!! |

I think despite of her talent and her potential it has been expected. All this year Vika was somewhere in between individauls-groups-reserve... Maybe, Deriuginas tried to "save" her for RG, but the girl grow up and maybe she has another priorities now... Sure it's a pity, because Vika is the most beautiful gymnast I have ever seen. But still not the best one...
My fingers are crossed for Mazur who is a true fairy (Tinker Bell, no?)) on the carpet! _________________ Truth without love turns person into criticaster...

It's all relative. I have seen some pretty lazy kids but that is part of the coach's job, to motivate them. It doesn't always work...too bad... _________________ http://ludafenka-en.blogspot.com/

Well, that was a year ago or two max, so she's not a kid anymore.
Too bad she didn't stay and work very hard, she had everything what a gymnast need to become a star. _________________ YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/xSleepingAwakexRG

That might be the reason she quit; she had all the facilities and talent to become a star but the hard work just didn't come with that. Many talented athletes quit when they suddenly have to start 'working'. Really a shame though _________________ My youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/xxJodelleFerlandxx?feature=mhee

Motivation is a big issue these days. Many teen and even child athletes are looking for monetary rewards to be motivated. In my opinion it is coming from these kids' parents and people around them. I am a coach and often hear parents scolding their children for not performing: "I pay that much money for your training....I just bought you an expensive suit...I paid for the competition and you took 20th place, etc". Some parents are not interested in what their daughter is doing. They never show up for practice or competitions which is not motivating for their girls either.
Believe me, real experienced coaches are doing everything in their power to motivate their athletes, especially those with great potential. |
